There are two wings made up of 303 rooms and 98 residences and all have kitchenettes and washing machines, making them well suited to long-stay guests and families. All are spacious with giant beds, comfy chairs, balconies and complimentary soft drinks in the mini-bar. The décor is muted – think mink – but glass-walled bathrooms (thankfully with blinds) and modern silk prints on the walls help to keep things interesting. Upgrade to one of the ground level Cabana Rooms which have terraces with direct access to the pool for a real taste of tropical city living.

Food & drink

The hotel’s flagship restaurant is Sra Bua, the Bangkokian sister of Copenhagen’s Kiin Kiin. It takes Thai cuisine to the cutting edge with extravagant tasting menus that include the likes of smoking (literally) Chiang Mai sausage and sculptural twirls of crispy pork skin. Elsewhere, there’s an all-day brasserie and an excellent healthy-leaning deli bar, Niche, serving smoothies, sandwiches, salads and burgers, as well as a comprehensive breakfast.

Hanuman Bar is the Perfect Meeting Point with Seamless, Essentially Swift and yet Elegant Service. Situated in Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s majestic lobby, Hanuman Bar bar is a perfect place for a rich variety of activities from morning until evening. Breakfast, quick delectable lunch, sophisticated afternoon tea, as well as pre and post-dinner champagne, fine wine and rare spirits are served here to delight both businessmen on the go and leisure guests.
